Subaru is a missing piece in the automakers’ rush to differentiate themselves from the growing number of crossovers with their high-riding suspensions and chunky tires. Although there have been rumors for some time about a better Wilderness package, it looks like we will finally see it on the Outback. Subaru has released a teaser video for the new Outback model.
We must have complained about the Japanese to them Previous teaser was zoomed out too far Because the teaser is too close. The crossover is shown with unique wheels and chunkier tires. Subaru isn’t giving any details on the new offering. It only suggests what to expect: “The legendary Outback” is the most rugged and capable Subaru vehicle. What if Subaru went further? Or went higher?”
Subaru continues to state that the Outback has “more capability” and offers more off-road features. We believe that Subaru will upgrade the crossover’s suspension to make it more stable, more rugged, and add cladding and other subtle upgrades to enhance its capabilities. Although it won’t be following a Jeep Wrangler up Moab in its new Outback, the extra height and other upgrades (including a skid plate) should make it more visible when it is lost. We don’t anticipate Subaru making any major changes to the engine.
The details will be available quickly. Subaru announced that it will unveil the Outback Wilderness in March at 11:11 a.m. ET. ET. Subaru is already known for its outdoor-friendly attitude and the Wilderness trim will only add to that.
