Subaru STI S209 Receives Incentives To Handle $65,000 Price Tag

Subaru’s 209-unit limit is the most expensive car sold in America.

The performance sedan is now available for purchase in the United States. Although the limited-run S209 was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January, there is now some excitement as we know the price $63,995 (plus $885 destination fees). It is the most popular Subaru ever sold in America and also comes with a $27,000 premium over the regular WRX STI.

A bulletin was sent to Subaru dealers, and it revealed that an incentive is available for those who are willing to spend a lot on the ultimate WRX STI. It was discovered by our colleagues at Autos Direct. The S209 can be eligible for 3.49% APR up to 63 month, which is not as attractive as the 1.9% APR on the 72-month contracts. However, customers can still save significant money in interest.

CarsDirect calculated that a $65,000 car would cost $71,231 to purchase with a loan at 3.499% APR. This will result in a monthly payment for $1,131 over 63 months. Taxes and fees are not included in the calculation. The S209 would cost you approximately $75,935 with a 6% APR and a 72-month contract. That’s an additional $4,704 total.

The First Subaru S Model to Land in the U.S.

This is a great deal! However, it’s best to act quickly to get one. Only 209 units will be produced. The S209 will be available at Subaru dealers in the U.S. by the end of the year with a choice of WR Blue Pearl or Crystal White Pearl paints. We hope dealers will not try to profit from customers because of the hot status of the car and the limited availability to markup an already high asking price.
