Supercar Blondie Takes a Rare Lotus 3-Eleven430 in Action

This is the fastest Lotus ever built, and only 20 of them were made.

This is something you won’t see every single day unless you are Supercar Blondie. This machine is not seen by even the most virtuous social media stars around the world. It’s called the Lotus 3-Eleven because only 311 were made by the British manufacturer.
It’s not just any 3-Eleven, however. This is the 3-Eleven430. Only 20 of these upgraded models were produced. It is basically a street-going version of the 3-Eleven’s racing model, and to say it’s a pure driver’s car would be a huge understatement.

Here’s the scoop on the 3-Eleven430. You can get a car without doors, interior, roof, power steering, windshield, or power steering for around $142,000. There’s also a ToyotaV6 motor stuffed into the car’s middle. It’s almost as expensive as the Porsche 911 Carrera. It’s that aspect that makes it so amazing.

It’s a combination of extreme minimalism and design.
Extremely
light. It is light at just over 900 kg (1,984 lb).
The engine is a Toyota-source, 3.5-liter V6 similar to what you would find in a Toyota Camry. This one has a supercharger and 430 horsepower, hence the 430 addition. This supercharger is enough to propel the go-kart up to 60 mph in a mere 3.1 seconds. It also features upgraded aero components that make it the fastest Lotus car to lap at its test track.

The basic six-speed manual transmission transmits power to the rear wheels. There is no shift boot or cover to conceal the linkages between the lever and the gearbox. The interior trim is missing, as well as windows and carpeting. There are five-point racing harnesses that provide safety for both the driver and the passenger. The driver does have access to a digital display with a variety of modes. This includes a diagnostic screen that allows you to share information that you didn’t know existed.

The 3-Eleven is not road-legal in the US. However, it does have lights, mirrors and turn signals. This means that it legal in other places such as Dubai where Supercar Blondie stopped by to test drive the rare machine. You’ll never see it in motion again.
