The last year of Gypsy production was a bleak one.
The Suzuki Jimny runs like a wild beast. It is a fierce dog with an adorable personality. The back-to basics off-roader would not be an icon in many difficult-to reach places of the globe if it did not have the bite to back its bark. There have been many variations of the Gypsy, including the Maruti Suzuki Gypsy. Mightyseed designed a Gypsy because it’s an old dog that needs a major redesign.
An assortment of renderings were created by the automotive design company to show what they thought would make a modern Gypsy. Although the pickup appears small and compact, it has a unique design. Its playful design is accentuated by the clamshell-style grille and arched fenders.
The profile of the Gypsy is quite striking. The cab has an awning-like appearance thanks to the thick B-pillars and black A-pillars. A bold design line runs along the side, with a subtle, angular, crease and cladding running along the lower doors. This leads to the tapered rear end. The handle is vertical and indicates a tailgate that opens to the side. This tailgate also holds the spare tire, just like the Jimny. The headlights, taillights and roof-mounted lights are all made up of LEDs. Unfortunately, interior renderings are not available. However, we would love to see modernized versions of a cabin.
Maruti Suzuki ceased production of the Gypsy last year after it started to lag behind better-equipped competitors and emits low levels. Despite the fact that production has been resumed, regular customers can’t purchase one. The Indian Army already has the new models, and it also has many Gypsy models. A modern version of a popular model could prove to be a big hit. There is a market for small SUVs and trucks. It’s not likely to be available in the United States.
