Why not use the GMC Acadia instead? Its boxy styling matches even better the original Typhoon.
Specialty Vehicle Engineering is currently building the highly revived Syclone pickup and also has the trademark to bring back GMC Typhoon performance utility vehicle if they ever want to. Motor1.com displayed its most recent rendering of a Chevy-based Typhoon. An SVE spokesperson expressed his excitement about the possibility of the return of this fast SUV. The rep also said that if General Motors offered a GMC version of the Chevyblazer , they would “run with it.”
SVE does not want to wait for GMC’s edgy crossover, so the company could use the Acadia for a start on a new Typhoon. Above is a comparison between the original Typhoon as well as the refreshed 2020 Acadia.

The Acadia shares the same platform as the new Chevy Blazer. GMC’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder makes 230 horsepower (172 Kilowatts), and 258 lbft of torque (355 Nm). Although the turbocharged engine is not as powerful, it would be easier to tune for SVE than Acadia’s V6 of 308 horsepower (230 kW) or 275 lbft (373Nm).
The stance would be improved with a lowered suspension. SVE could also add curved spokes to the wheels, small fender flares and appropriate emblems to match the original design.
This is similar to what SVE uses to create its Syclone. The firm begins with a GMC Canyon, and then supercharges the 3.6 liter V6 to produce 455 horsepower (339 kW) instead the 308 hp (308 kW). The exhaust is a catback, stainless-steel unit with black tips that exits from the rear. Six-piston front brakes have 13.6-inch slotted discs. They replace the 12.2-inch standard. The classic appearance of the black, five-spoke 20 inch wheels is achieved with a classic design. The Syclone emblem is found on the lower part of the doors. It can be seen on the spokes on each wheel and at the tailgate.
