This video is the latest in Donut Media’s Bumper 2 Bumper series. It features the charmingly named Camaro EL1, which Napoleon Motorsports built. It’s the first Formula DRIFT championship and the rule book had to be revised.

This electric Camaro does more than impress with its cool parlor tricks. It’s also brutally fast and nearly surgically efficient at killing tires.
Napolen Motorsports used a lot of carbon fiber to offset the 800 pound weight of the Camaro’s batteries. We believe that their efforts to reduce the weight of the EL1 were a success, as it weighs in at just 3,000 pounds.
James, the host, explains in layman’s terms how battery technology works. The Camaro EL1 has the equivalent of 515 horsepower and 800 lb/ft torque. It’s available immediately, whenever it is needed. This is something we can understand.
