This is the car that carries the three-pointed star the most.

The long wheelbase version may be the best option if you find the standard Mercedes S Class a little too small. Are you still not satisfied? Even though the Maybach version is longer, if you have the funds, there’s a larger version of the flagship sedan. Enter Pullman. Daimler’s most luxurious car has a wheelbase that is longer than many compact cars. It measures in at 4418mm (173.9 inches).

Shmee150 was able to film the Pullman’s 6.5-meter (256 inch) length in its pre-facelifted form. We thought it was worth sharing, as the Pullman isn’t a very common sight. The V12-powered S-Class has everything you love about it, but there’s more room inside. There are four rear seats that can be arranged in a way that is convenient for privacy.

It’s not surprising Mercedes was able to install 24 speakers throughout the interior of the car as part the Burmester sound system. It’s even more obvious when you look at the length of the rear doors, which allow access into the luxurious cabin. Lambswool floor mats along with a multitude of electric curtains make it clear that this is not a regular S-Class.

The Pullman version is slightly longer than the Maybach S-Class (1053mm / 41.4in to be exact), but it’s also 100mm taller (nearly four inches), which translates into more headroom. As you would expect from a limousine there is leather everywhere. This includes the headliner and door frames. There are also roof-mounted dials that display temperature, speed and time.

Mercedes refreshed the Pullman earlier in the year with a new grille, vertical slats and 20-inch wheels. The upgraded V12 engine, now delivering 630 horsepower (463 Kilowatts) as well as 1,000 Nm (737 Lb-ft) of torque, also has a revised grille. This car has to be content with 530 horsepower (390 kW), and 830 Nm (612 Lb-ft).
