Taraschi Teases BerardoSupercar As A Revival Of Italian Marque

The world premiere will be held at the Automobile Museum of Turin on October 7.

Although Taraschi isn’t as well-known as Alfa Romeo or Ferrari, he has the historical name of motorsports. His son Tazio Taraschi will unveil the new sports car at Turin’s Automobile Museum of Turin, following in the footsteps Berardo Taraschi’s footsteps. In honor of his father, he’ll name it the Berardo.

Taraschi only released one teaser photo of the Berardo. This photo is just enough to show the vehicle’s curving lines. The prominent fenders are visible above the hood at the front. The vehicle’s round styling is further enhanced by the presence of arched daytime running lamps.

Taraschi also included images of the 1953 Giaur 750 Champion Sport along with the Berado teaser picture. This image gives a hint of the model the company hopes to create. It shares a common feature with the classic vehicle as well as the new revival: the high and rounded wheel arches.

Taraschi was a race car builder in Teramo (Italy) between 1947 and 1964. Parts were available for his first car, including the chassis of a Fiat Topolino as well as the engine from a BMW R75 motorcycle. That car was able to win the Sport 750 class at Targa Florio 1948. From there, he continued to build and sold racers. found success in Formula Junior in 1958.
