Ford has officially announced a new variant for the 2021 Ranger line-up in Mexico. The Ranger Wildtrak will soon be the top-spec trim. This new variant will have more standard features that the current XLT4x4 range-topper.
The T6 Ranger Wildtrak in most places of the world has the biturbo 2.0-liter EcoBlue Diesel engine, which is also found in the Ranger Raptor. However, the Mexican-bound Wildtrak will have the EcoBoost gasoline engine. It will generate 270 horsepower (201 Kilowatts) as well as 310 pound-feet (442 Newton-meters), and it will be sent to all four wheels via an automatic transmission of 10 speeds. Ford stated that the Wildtrak would arrive in Mexican showrooms by July. It will cost 799,000 Mexican pesos (roughly $39,000 at current exchange rates). It is priced below the Ranger Raptor, which was recently launched for the same market at 989,000 Mexican pesos (around $48,000).
