Tesla Easter Egg: Send Elon Musk Sketches

Tesla is a fan of giving its owners special easter eggs. The latest update arrives just in time to celebrate Easter and, like previous ones, it focuses on something that is hidden in the central touchscreen system.

Owners can activate a sketch pad for their Model S or Model X by tapping three times on the infotainment screen. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, took to Twitter to demonstrate how owners can activate the sketch pad.

This Easter egg is part the new 8.1 software upgrade and allows users submit their sketches directly for Tesla. When you click “Publish”, it prompts you to receive a message asking you if you are sure that you want Tesla’s critique of your artistic masterpiece. You have the choice to choose “No, my art isn’t ready” or “Yes, artist!”

This is just one of many fun Tesla secrets. Back in December, we saw the Model X There was even a reference to ship your Tesla to Mars via the new SpaceX spacecraft.

Tesla’s Model 3 is in production, and could be ready for public debut by July. We’ve already seen a video showing it in action. Reports suggest that the company will skip the beta phase entirely. The new Model 3 will have a range of at most 215 miles (346 km) and a price starting at $35,000 when it goes on sale.
