What does Tesla’s long-range flagships look like?
AutoTopNL doesn’t seem to be interested in EVs. YouTube admits it doesn’t care about “eco- and green”. But, if it can go crazy fast, like Tesla cars, that’s another story.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a computer expert to see that the Model S is faster than the Model X in acceleration. One is a more sporty sedan, while the other is a more practical, crossover-style minivan. It’s important to compare these all-electric, American made Teslas if you are considering buying one.
The Tesla 100 models are the top-selling models. This gives them the best range and impressive performance, depending on which variant they are.
Previous to this, Tesla offered 100D models and P100D model, among others. The “P” denotes Performance and the “D” is for dual-motor, all wheel drive. The “P” models provide the Ludicrous acceleration scenario, while the non-P’s are slower and therefore have more range.
Now, fast forward to today. Tesla has attempted to clarify things. The automaker now offers only two versions of the Model S or X. The Long Range model (previously 100D) is now the Performance model (previously P100D).
All of this being said, AutoTopNL does not drive and assess the top-performance variants but the Long Range editions.
