Tesla Model S Plaid Drag Races Regular Car with 10-Second Headstart

This is a Subaru Crosstrek race.

This Tesla Model S Plaid performs at its best on drag strip. Tesla driver gives the little crossover a 10 second extra to get off the track.  To hype the race, the Tesla driver plays the theme tune. Jaws Interior and exterior of the EV are identical. When the lights turn green, the Subaru will go into cruise mode. Subaru is not a performance vehicle, and you won’t find it at the drag strip.

The Tesla is already at the start line, when the light turns red. With the Model S Plaid, the EV can cover the quarter-mile in half the time it takes Subaru.

Another video shows times for both cars. A Subaru Crosstrek completed the quarter-mile in 18.7 seconds at 78 mph (1126 km/h).
