Texas: New BMW E30 M3 Factory Body Shell for Sale

Texas: New BMW E30 M3 Factory Body Shell for Sale

It could be the last E30 M3 worldwide, according to the seller.

2019 will be the year that all classic, unutilized BMWs around the globe will rise from the grave. It appears that the latest is something truly special too, a honest-to-good M3 or, rather, the shell. This car was posted on Reddit, and it is currently available at FB in their E30 Only Classifieds group. It costs $30,000. This shell is not only exposed, but it can also be purchased.

Paul Marshall, a Facebook user, is the seller. The car is listed as being located in Allen, Texas. Although we don’t know much about Marshall but he posted for the shell it seems he is very knowledgeable. According to Marshall’s description, the M3 shell was kept in storage for 15 years “in a bubble”. He goes as far to claim that it was kept on the original wooden dolly. However, it was necessary to purchase a new dolly to allow it to be shipped to the United States. It had to conform to U.S. regulations for wood import . Talk about being specific.

The listing includes photographs of the shell from all angles and photos of several paper tags with numbers that we don’t know about but which we believe are what E30 connoisseurs are dreaming about. Marshall lists it as an “unregistered” shell, meaning it doesn’t have any VIN. It’s basically a factory-fresh unibody from a car that was discontinued 25 years ago. This body would require a lot of work, and $30,000 for an empty shell is a significant amount of money. The shell itself is not unique and does not have a VIN. This is an extremely rare find, even if Marshall’s numbers are correct.

It’s difficult to estimate the value of this shell given how much E30 M3 has risen in recent years. This is what we’ll say: Marshall posted the car for sale less that 24 hours ago, and it has already been shared over 1,800 times. We believe this shell will soon find a new home, based on what we know about E30 and those who love it.
