It is never too early to start thinking about driving in winter.
Customers looking for a minivan that offers more traction on slippery streets will be able to order the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica AWD launch edition. Prices start at $40.240 and deliveries will begin in the third quarter 2020.
The Pacifica AWD Launch Edition doesn’t have the refreshed styling that comes with the 2021 model year. However, the automaker revealed the updated look in February 2020. The announcement that the new Chrysler Pacifica 2021 will have AWD capability was met with overwhelming positive reactions. “We know that there is demand for AWD capability and Stow ‘n-Go seating. The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica AWD Launch Edition allows me to give our customers the all weather capability they need even faster,” stated Tim Kuniskis from FCA passenger cars North America.
The Pacifica AWD Launch Edition uses a Touring L model as its starting point. It also features the S Appearance BLACK NOISE exterior trim package. The wheels are 18 inches in diameter and have dual spokes. They are wrapped with Michelin Premier self-sealing rubber tires.
The interior has black McKinley leather seating and Light Diesel Grey stitching. The cabin also features brushed metal trim. Customers have the option to add navigation or a tri-pane panoramic sunroof.
All-wheel drive systems such as the Pacifica can transmit up to 100 percent torque to the rear axle. It can also be disconnected to increase fuel efficiency if traction at the rear isn’t required. To activate AWD, the tech considers a number of factors, such as temperature outside, windshield wiper use, and road conditions.
