The 2022 Goodwood Festival Of Speed Will See the Debut of a New BMW M Car

BMW has not yet identified the vehicle, but there are some possibilities.

2022 Goodwood Festival Of Speed will commemorate 50 years of BMW Motorsport, and will also feature the debut of a brand new M model. A sculpture will be installed to pay tribute to the cars of the past. Festival of Speed this year will be held from Thursday, 23 June, through Sunday 26 June.

“For our 50th Anniversary, we couldn’t imagine a better location to celebrate our products and connect with our fans. Frank van Meel, CEO of BMW M division, said that he was particularly excited to reveal a particular vehicle to the public for the first-time – something we’ve been waiting for a long time.
BMW has a few options for the M model it will unveil at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It could be the M2 model. It could be the new M2. According to an earlier teaser it will begin production at the automaker’s San Luis Potosi, Mexico, at the end 2022.

According to reports, the M2 uses a version of the S58 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six inline-six engine from the M4. It may be available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Spy shots of the vehicle with quad center exit exhaust outlets.

Another possibility for the debut of the M3 is the BMW M3 Touring. A recent rumor suggests it could debut in June which is also the month of this year’s Festival of Speed.

The M3 Touring is a modified sedan that adds an extended roof to allow for more gear. The M3 Touring is more family-friendly and shares the same 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged, inline-six engine. It produces 503 horsepower (375 kW) as well as 479 lbft (650 Nm), respectively. An eight-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive is the drivetrain. It is not possible to have rear-wheel drive or a manual gearbox.

One possibility is that the M car will be unveiled. Late 2021 rumors suggested that BMW was creating something special to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its M division. According to reports, the vehicle would be limited in number. However, there have been no other details regarding this model beyond the initial rumor.
