Buyers paid $56,000 averagely for a Gladiator in May.
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup is undoubtedly the most popular in America right now. This is evident in the truck’s impressive May average transaction price. According to Cox Automotive, the average price for Gladiator new was $56,403 in its first month of availability. This includes 2,548 units.
The Gladiator’s starting price is $33,545 for the base Sport model with no options, while the Launch Edition was $60,815. The truck cost buyers nearly $23,000 more than the entry-level trim, and $4,400 less that the special edition shown here. This is not surprising considering that customers paid a lot more for the expensive version. It was limited to 4,190 units, and all were sold within 24 hours.
The Gladiator can go all out if you’re looking for something more. We managed to get the Rubicon’s online configurator to a staggering $64,110. This is still a small amount compared to the $200,000 price tag for the 1,000-horsepower Gladiator Maximus, which was built by Hennessey and comes in 24 pieces.
The Ford Ranger is one of the Gladiator’s competitors. It sold 7,750 units in May for an average transaction price around $37,000, which is nearly $20,000 lower than the Jeep’s.
In related news, Cox Automotive reported that Volkswagen still had unsold 2014 Jettas and Passats in the United States. In an attempt to get rid of the remaining stock, VW offered a $5,000 incentive to lure in customers willing to acquire a new-yet-five-year-old car.
