This off-road trailer can sleep four people and has 20 inches of ground clearance.
Overlanding has become a hugely popular activity right now. Not only are camper vans and trucks capable of off-road driving, but also trailers. Adventurers who are keen to explore the wilderness from their camp, but still need to be able to drive a compact vehicle might prefer this small and agile vehicle. Into The Wild Overlands has a variety of overlanding trailers that can be used to meet such needs. The company also offers a new model, the XT12. It is quite versatile, and we have to admit it.
This is because the trailer can sleep four people, two of whom will have a queen-sized bed. The trailer also includes a wet bathroom with a shower and cassette toilet. It also has an outdoor kitchen with a stove and a three-burner stove. The unit can be configured with a pop-up or awning roof. A forced-air furnace is available to heat the area in colder conditions. Although water storage is not mentioned, there is a 250-amp-hour-long battery and 220-watts of solar energy for electricity.
Although it sounds very cozy, the trailer must be able to withstand an offroad trip. The XT12 is equipped with a Timbren suspension and a Timbren chassis made of power-coated steel. The setup allows for 20 inches of ground clearance and independent wheel movement on each side. It measures 18 feet in length and has a dry weight under 3,000 pounds.
Into The Wild Overland has not yet released pricing information for the XT12. The company currently offers two types of trailers: the XT and the MXT. Both can haul dirt bikes, and both are capable of sleeping two adults. The XT is priced at $28,500. However, the XT12 trailer has a larger size and more capabilities. This new trailer will likely cost between $40,000 and $45,000. The spring 2020 is expected to see sales.
