The new Ford Focus offers four luxurious trim levels, including the ST-Line and Vignale as well as Active and Titanium. What about customers who don’t care as much about creature comforts and just want a stylish hatchback that gets them from A to B? Ford also has your back.
This is the base Ford Focus. This is the base Ford Focus. The Trend trim was revealed on Ford Germany’s online configurator. It eliminates most of the sporty cues from the ST-Line and provides a simple, straightforward hatchback that still offers plenty of space and is highly usable.
The Ford Focus Trend is priced at EUR18,000.00 in Germany. This is equivalent to approximately $23,000 U.S.A at the current exchange rate. It will not be as expensive in the U.S. if it is available, however. You get the exterior with hubcaps instead of alloy wheels, a single non-optional paint finish Blazer Blue and a basic fascia without any frills.
The cabin’s eight-inch touchscreen has been replaced by a smaller screen. A simple black trim with silver highlights covers most of the cabin. Under the hood is a 1.0-liter EcoBoost motor paired with a six speed manual transmission. It produces 85 horsepower (63 kilowatts).
The Focus looks great, even without the fancy features. Even in the cheapest trim, it has a more elegant look thanks to its new body lines and aggressively designed fascia. It’s also relatively well-equipped at EUR18,000.
Standard features include automatic A/C, Bluetooth connectivity and daytime running lights, lane keep assistance, power windows, Bluetooth connectivity, and automatic A/C. For an additional EUR750, buyers can add alloy wheels and heated or powered seats to their entry-level Focus.
European markets will receive the Focus sedan, wagon and hatchback. The Focus Active crossover will be available in the upscale Focus Vignale. However, the Focus sedan and hatchback will only be available in the United States. We expect future iterations, including the ST and RS, to make their way Stateside. The new Ford Focus will be available later in the year.
