The First 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 fetches $3.6 Million at Auction

All proceeds will be donated to military families.

Barrett Jackson sold the first retail 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 for $3.6 million. This Corvette is nearly the most expensive ever sold at auction.

Rick Hendrick, founder of Hendrick Companies, won the VIN001 Z06 Corvette Z06. Hendrick also won the first midengine Corvette Stingray 2020 at a price of $3.0million.

Operation Homefront is a national non-profit that focuses on strengthening, stabilizing, and securing military families. All proceeds from this sale will go to Operation Homefront.

The 70th anniversary edition package is included on this particular 2023 Corvette Z06 ZIN 001. This trim level includes special Ceramic leather two-tone seats with suede inserts and a set of anniversary-branded luggage.

Standard (not at wild auction price), 70th Anniversary Edition Corvettes include a set of unique wheels with red edges, anniversary center caps, red brake calipers and a trunk protector. These cars are only allowed to use Carbon Flash Metallic, or a new shade of white called White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat. This package is available to Stingray models with 3LT trim.

The 2023 Corvette Z06 features a naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 engine with dual overhead camshafts, a flat-plane crankshaft and redline at 8,600 rpm. It produces 670 horsepower (623 Newton-meters) and 460 pounds-feet (623 kilowatts).
