Video trailer and preview photo gallery for special episode indicate otherwise.
It seems like yesterday that we were watching the second-season premiere on The Grand Tour. We are now ready for the special finale in Mozambique. To celebrate, here are some photos of the motoring trio during the trip. We mean photos of the boys looking confused, lost, surprised, amused, or sometimes bewildered. In a few shots, it appears that there is some serious taunting.
Clarkson, Hammond and May are in Mozambique for what reason? The video trailer shows that they are apparently trying to save the planet. They are trying to end hunger in the world by transporting fish from the coast of the country to areas farther inland that don’t have enough food. Although it doesn’t necessarily end world poverty, one must start somewhere. The Nissan pickup truck, the Mercedeswagon and a motorcycle are all examples of that “start”. It’s possible to match the person with the vehicle.
The previews do not give any insight into what Hammond did on his trip. Last March, he tweeted that he wasn’t dead from falling from a Mozambique motorcycle. We’ll venture to say that a motorcycle isn’t the best tool for saving the world, especially if Richard Hammond has to carry fish across southern Africa.
Clarkson and May have at least four wheels under them. However, considering that we see a muffler on the Mercedes roof and Jeremy’s Nissan roof, and are hopelessly buried with mud, we suspect their journey won’t be an easy one.
