The ultimate off-road pair will make sure you are ready for the end of the world.
The Japanese company has a new concept to make it possible for you to purchase one of the most rare Isuzus ever produced, the Vehicross. The Concept X is simply called that and comes in two versions: one traditional pickup and one based upon an SUV.
The first (dimension specifications below) shares its foundations with the D-Max truck. It has been substantially reworked to have a ground clearance height of 370 millimeters (14.56inches). Both the approach and departure angles are impressive at 38.5 and 49.7 degrees, respectively. The vehicle is equipped with an independent front coil suspension and a multi-link rear coil suspension. It also has 38-inch Toyo Open Country offroad tires. The majority of the body parts, including the fenders and hood and the 10,000-lb (4.5-tonnes) front and back winches, were made by custom. The engine is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel four cylinder engine that incorporates a Diesel Particulate Diffuser, (DPD) and is mated with an Aisin six-speed automatic gearbox.

Concept X MU-X Spec (dimensions specs below) is based upon the MU-X luxury SUV with seven-seats that was sold in Australia to compete against the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. The vehicle uses the same 3.0-diesel engine and suspension components as the D-Max Spec, but has a different interior and body.
Six-piston front brakes and four-piston back brakes provide stopping power with full-floating discs measuring 390 mm, 355 mm and 355 respectively. Only difference between the two concepts in terms of off-road capability is the departure angle. This is 37.3 degrees versus 38.5 degrees for the D-Max Spec.

Isuzu has not yet discussed its plans for the concept pair. We don’t know if it will be in a conceptual form or if it will go into production as a limited-edition hardcore series. However, we believe the manufacturer is simply showing what its engineers can do.
