Kia will give a more detailed rundown of the crossover’s performance specs and available features at the unveiling. The EV6 will be able to ride on Hyundai/Kia’s E-GMP architecture. This scalable platform is capable of supporting a wide range of vehicles, from compact cars to large SUVs. Last week’s unveiling of the EV6’s new design showed off a unique crossover that is low to ground. The brand’s new design language was introduced by Kia. It has retired the original tiger-nose design that was introduced in 2007. The new Kia features a sleek, modern face that incorporates the vehicle’s front wheel arches and sits above a simple lower grille. Its low-riding appearance is aided by its swooping C pillar and raked windshield.

The rear of the EV6 is where the most striking aspect of its design is, with its thin, rear-spanning taillight. The front wheel well is decorated with a stylized rocker panel. This panel rises just before the rear wheels, creating a design line connecting with the taillight. The EV6 has the dual-screen layout required for the instrument cluster and for the infotainment system. It features a slim center console with few buttons and a simple interior design. Keep checking back in a few more weeks to see what else is available.
