Two 12-inch screens are contained in a curved bezel.
The Kia K8 will replace the Cadenza. Now, the company has revealed the model’s spacious cabin. Later this year, the sedan will make its full debut.
The K8 has a 12-inch digital instrument cluster with an infotainment display and a 12-inch infotainment screen. They share a curved bezel. The controls for the HVAC system are combined with shortcuts for infotainment systems via a panel at the dashboard’s center.
Wood trim is featured on the center console. The center console is a raised L-shaped section that houses all the drivetrain controls, such as the rotary knob gearshift button and the button to select the drive mode. The switches for heated seats and steering wheels are also found in this section. The K8 will come with a Meridian 14-speaker stereo system from Kia.
Nappa leather upholstery features an embossed diamond pattern in areas such as the seat bolsters or door panels. Star Cloud lighting gives the project a glittering pattern.
A new steering wheel has been designed for the K8 with an oval shape. The left and right spokes have a variety control options so drivers can use their hands to move the wheel.
The exterior of the K8 is sleek and has a flowing roof. It is 5,015 millimeters in length (197.4 inches), so it should have plenty of space for passengers to stretch out. Kia’s new grille features a diamond-shaped lattice design. The exterior is enhanced by the addition of skinny headlights. The back has full-width taillights, which split into Y-shaped sections at each end.
You can expect a full debut of technical details and interior images from the K8 soon, as Kia has already shared exterior and interior photos. The company has removed the current Cadenza, and K900 from the US market. It is not known if Kia plans to sell the model.
