Are there any takers?
The newly-revealed U.S.-spec Seltos is very appealing to the eye. While the busy design is a benefit, it’s still quite boxy and a welcome contrast to the sleek Kia range.
The smallest and most recent Kia crossover just arrived in the USA at the L.A. Auto Show. However, it has already received spin-offs from both Kia and unofficial renderings.
The Kia concepts were presented side-by-side to the Seltos. These renderings by Kolesa.ru took the opposite route in order to create a more performance-oriented and sleeker version of the compact Korean crossover.
The sporty rendering has many design variations from the standard Seltos. The front bumper of the performance-version Seltos was modified to include large air intakes and a more aggressive front bumper. On the rendering, the headlights of the Seltos regular Seltos have been removed.
Near the fender are decorative inserts with air-ducts. A new set of multi-spoke wheels takes care of the shoes. Two pairs of exhaust pipes are used for the rear along with an updated bumper.
The performance Seltos has had its chrome moldings, grilles, side mirror housings and roof blacked out to give it a sleek look.
Although it is obvious that these renderings were created by the maker, we cannot help but wonder if Kia is reading this article. She might consider making a performance Seltos that matches the images.
What do you think? What do you think? Is Kia a danger to American roads with a crossover? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
