The LeEco LeSee Pro concept is beautiful, but it’s still not in production

At CES, the Chinese automaker displayed its LeSee Pro concept vehicle.

In April, the LeEco LeSee Pro concept vehicle made its debut in Beijing. It was hampered by some setbacks but eventually made its debut in the U.S. at an exclusive event in October. It’s now at CES 2017 in Vegas.

This is the third time that the car has been displayed. What you see is what you get. It is long and beautiful. The majority of the components are still not ready for production, including the sci-fi-inspired front fascia, illuminated tires, and roof-mounted Lidar, which may or might not work. It’s still an interesting vehicle.

Interior panels are covered in a unique texture that extends from the floor to the windows. The seats are simple, but they offer comfort. The dash is covered in one large screen and a few touch-sensitive buttons.

Jia Yueting, founder of LeEco and chairman has not provided any details about the production model. However, the company claims that the roof-mounted Lidar system allows it to be autonomous and that the powertrain is indeed electric (see the photo gallery below). Other than that, little else is known.

Faraday Future is said to be working with the company to produce the vehicle at the Nevada production plant worth more than $1B. However, Faraday must be able to pay the bills. LeSee is also cheaper than the FF91, which is expected cost between $150,000 and $200,000 when it goes on sale.

The LeEco LeSee Pro will not be available on the road until we have a better understanding of its capabilities.
