Base models still come fully equipped and start at $52,195
Since the prototype was first shown at the New York Auto Show, we have been impressed by the new Lincoln Aviator. It arrived just a few months ago at the LA Auto Show and looked very similar to its concept-cousin. It’s a good thing because the sleek lines and acres of tinted back greenhouse create an elegant SUV. We now know how much that grandiosity will cost. A Standard trim Aviator costs $52,195. But, a Black Label Grand Touring hybrid with all the bells and whistles will set you back $91,145. Prices include delivery and any other fees.
What is the value of your hard-earned cash in the Aviator industry? Let’s start by taking a closer look at the Black Label Grand Touring. It checks almost all of the options boxes from the get-go. The base model costs $88,895 and includes the luxury and dynamic handling options, which include adaptive suspension and air-ride. All-wheel drive is available with high-end 21 inch wheels and adaptive steering. The hybrid powertrain is a 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 and a ten speed automatic. Lincoln claims that the system will produce a projected 450 horsepower (336 Kilowatts) as well as 600 pound-feet (813 Newton meters) of torque. Details are still being worked out.
The Black Label Grand Touring interior comes standard with the upgraded Revel28-speaker sound system, navigation and 30-way heated/massaging seating. There is also a panoramic roof and lots of leather. There are only two options available: the $500 class IV trailer tow package and a $1,750 special coat of Chroma Caviar Dark Gray Paint. This brings us up to $91,145.
The Standard model isn’t exactly a basic grocery cart. The rear wheels are powered by a twin-turbo V6 of 400 horsepower (298-kW). Front-seat passengers have 10-way heated seats. Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 driver assistance suite and SYNC 3 are also available.
The order banks for the new Aviator are expected to open in the next month. Production models will be available at dealerships by the spring.
