It’s rare, but not unexpected.
It might be better to opt for the Chevy Blazer with a V6 engine if you are looking to purchase one this month than for the lower trim that has a four-banger motor. This information was obtained from CarsDirect by using dealer lease documents.
The Blazer 2LT V6’s pricing was obviously higher than the base trim. However, there were some factors that influenced the higher lease value of this pricier model. The documents show that the 2LT V6’s interest rate is equivalent to 3.36 percent APR while the 1LT has a higher rate of 7.44 percent.
CarsDirect calculated the monthly costs for each trim level to help you better understand the differences. Blazer 2LT V6 priced at $34,795 includes destination fees and can be leased at $229 per month for 36-months with $1,609 due upon signing. This means that the monthly cost is $274.
The Blazer 1LT four-cylinder option is priced at $33,495. It has the same monthly lease for 36 month but a higher $1659 due at sign. The trim’s monthly cost is $275.
The difference in monthly costs between them is only a dollar, but you will get more standard features with the higher trim. The Blazer 2LT has a more powerful V6 engine.
The 1LT includes notable standard features that are not available in the 1LT, such as the IntelliBeam beam headlamps and automatic emergency brakes. There are also a variety of driver-assist tech toys to help improve safety.
CarsDirect stated that the offers are not available until March 31st. The report doesn’t include details about leases for other trim levels.
