The New Audi Q6 Etron Fully Shows Its Face in Latest Spy Photos

It features a split-headlight design.

One year of AudiQ6 E-Tron spy photos showed little about the all-electric crossover. Although it has been covered in camouflage for many months, a new batch of spy photos captures the new model with no camouflage on the front fascia. This gives us our first glimpse at the design.

The Audi has a closed-off silver grille, with the front camera located below a black Audi badge. The sensors for the various driver-assistance system’s sensors are housed in an opening in the lower bumper. Fake vents are found below the grille. They sit under a split-headlight design, which places the daytime running lights higher than the lower-positioned headlights. The new photos reveal only this, and a black sheet hides the rest.

Although spy photos do not reveal much about the rear, it seems that the crossover will use a similar lighting signature to the Etron GT. The Q6 E-Tron will have a full-width taillight. The camouflage conceals the rest and there is nothing exciting back there. Different models could get unique garnishes and accents to make them stand out from the rest.

Audi has not revealed details about the powertrain of the crossover. We have only rumors and they don’t give a complete picture. Audi is rumored to offer an RS variant with 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts). This will be made possible by a dual-motor, all wheel-drive setup. Audi will offer the new EV in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations.

The Q6 E-Tron will be riding on the Premium Platform Electric architecture Audi co-developed together with Porsche. The upcoming all electric Porsche Macan will also be powered by PPE. Although the crossovers will share many of the same mechanical components, they will have different styling.

The new Q6 E-Tron is expected to debut in the current year and go on sale sometime around 2023. As Audi continues to introduce all-electric vehicles, the new crossover will be above the Q4 Etron. The Q6 E-Tron, which is another step towards achieving this goal, will be the company’s 20 EVs by 2025.
