Which engine do you believe it is using?
Deliveries to the C8 Chevrolet Corvette aren’t Even better, it’s already underway However, engineers at the brand are already working on a new, more powerful model. This variant will likely be the Z06 moniker. This video captures one of the camouflaged models in testing. It also gives you a chance to hear its V8.
There are many competing rumors regarding the Z06’s special features. It could be equipped with the 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 and a flat-plane crank from C8.R racecar. Competition rules limit the series’ output to 500 horsepower (373 Kilowatts) or 480 pound-feet (651 Newton-meters). The road-going version may have more power.
Another rumor is that Z06 could use a Cadillac Blackwing twin-turbo, V8. The Corvette is said to produce 800 horsepower (597 kW), and approximately 700 lb-ft (949 NM) of torque. This would be in addition to the CT6-V’s 550 HP (410 kW).
The car sounds more like a V8 with flat-plane crankshafts than a twin turbo powerplant, judging by the video. The engine is particularly eager to rev at the end of this clip. This is a common characteristic of flat-plane crank powerplants.
A large rear wing would be added to the Z06. It would be marketed as a track-focused C8 version. Other modifications include larger brakes and suspension changes.
The Z06 could be given a C8.R V8 version, which would allow Chevy to make the ZR1 with a focus of straight-line speed. The twin-turbo engine might be included in the smaller model.
Rumours abound about a C8 that produces around 1,000 horsepower (746 kW) and is capable of producing a wide range. A hybrid powertrain could be used to generate the power, with an electric motor driving one of the front wheels.
