Although the electric 1500 might not use the trademark that was recently filed, it is highly likely.
FCA has filed a trademark under the Stellantis group of the US Patent and Trademark Office. This may give clues as to the name Ram’s first electric pickup truck.
The trademark was filed for the name “Revolution” – discovered by CarBuzz. The trademark application states that the name will be used to identify motor vehicles, specifically passenger trucks.
The trademark office has accepted the trademark application, but has yet to assign it to an examiner. Also, the application did not specify the mark’s font type, size, or colour.
Stellantis confirmed last year that it would introduce a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) version of Ram 1500. In a presentation, Mike Koval, Ram CEO, stated that production of the electric Ram truck would begin in 2024.
The Ram 1500 BEV will compete against the Ford F-150 Lightning and Silverado EV. Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV and, eventually, the Tesla Cybertruck.
Ram has not provided any details on the electric 1500, except for the shadowy teasers you can see in the gallery. It has a tall grille and narrow lighting elements. There is also an illuminated badge. However, these are likely to change.
Note that Ram may or not use Revolution trademark for electric trucks. However, it’s possible that this will happen based on the timeline and meaning of the name. Electric pickups will revolutionize how we view trucks. They’ll transform them from gas-guzzling, hulking workhorses into eco-friendly, efficient machines.
