Backseat passengers will be able to see the jumps they are about to make.
After scoring a Baja 1000 win with the Boot, it seems Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has been charged. This off-roader is getting a lot of attention. Wait, what?
Although this car is only four-seater, it is impossible to not love the matching car seat that sits on top of the large rear console. This position makes baby the most comfortable in the car, and it’s also a very cool seat. Although we aren’t sure that child protective services would want to hear about off-road adventures at high speed with the youngest member of the family, this looks like a great way to travel around town.
The Boot’s other unusual seating arrangements are the best news. The center console is pushed forward, and the front seats face inward. Rear seats are further apart on a raised platform. Glickenhaus claims that the rear seats have better visibility than the front, which may help people who are car sick. This is especially true if the driver has to drive a short distance back home, which may involve crossing open terrain at high speeds. This is a great way of traveling, even for shopping trips.
Glickenhaus clarifies that the design is still in flux. The two-door Boot has been shown in action, but the four door version is still not complete. There are plans to put 20 Boots next year with either two- or four-door models.
