It sounds like an elephant laboring.”
Good morning, people. You are now in the midst of an unsolved mystery. These are the words of Zack Klapman (host of TheSmokingTire YouTube ), but they perfectly describe what you will see. The car was a regular, boring 2008 Toyota RAV4 with an 3.5-liter V6 engine and a five speed transmission. It is now a stripped-down monster on wheels.
First, the engine is not in stock. The V6 is now a much more powerful motor that produces a good exhaust sound thanks to a supercharger, heat exchanging, modified ECU, new exhaust and wiring. How powerful is the V6? The exact power is unknown as the car has not yet been tested on the dyno. However, it’s certainly more than the factory’s 200 horsepower.
There are many modifications that can be made to the engine. The video description will show you all the modifications, but we’ll only mention that the car has a new suspension and Hawk Performance brake pads and rotors. Toyo Proxes ST III tires are rated at 155 mph (250 km/h) and provide excellent traction in all weather conditions.
The interior is, however, the most important change. It doesn’t have a premium audio system that includes 100 speakers and high-quality leather seats. The car is now lighter and has less interior components. All components considered to be unnecessary by the owner have been removed, including the rear and passenger seats, door car, floor mats and sound insulation. Even large parts of the dashboard with its plastic panels are gone.
