This camper is stripped down and comes with an outdoor shower.
Although the GMC Hummer EV might evoke memories with its iconic design and familiar name it’s not a true Hummer. The H1 will always be the only true Hummer. The iconic, bold and aggressive military-derived design of the Hummer is still recognizable today.
2000 AM General Hummer H1 features a pickup truck bed that can be converted to a camper. This makes it an off-road beast that can go anywhere. Callen Campers’ slide-in camper isn’t the most elegant, but it’s practical. The package includes a queen-sized bed and a kitchenette with a gas stovetop and sink, a 35-gallon freshwater storage tank, an outdoor shower, as well as a 5-gallon propane tank. The Hummer also features a 20-gallon auxiliary fuel tank, an aftermarket steering wheels, a Garmin GPS antenna and a CB radio transmitter.
The 6.5-liter V8 turbodiesel produces 195 horsepower (141 Kilowatts) as well as 430 pound-feet (583 Newton meters) of torque. An aftermarket exhaust and a chipped engine computer are two performance upgrades. With its winch, central tire inflation system and central tire pressure control system, the Hummer shows its adventurous side. Surprisingly, the Hummer still has the original cassette stereo sound system. However, due to a 2003 accident, it was left with a salvaged title. It has minor imperfections such as paint chips and scratches on the exterior.
This is what happens when you use the Hummer H1 off-road as a remote desert camping machine. That’s exactly what the current owner has done with it. The current highest bid at $21,000 is still available for the vehicle. There are six more days to go. As the auction draws near, that number will likely rise. It’s rare enough to find a Hummer H1, but a HummerH1 that is ready for a week in a wilderness setting is even more rare.
