Ant Anstead will replace it.
Wheeler dealers will be a show unlike any other. Edd China, the show’s main mechanic, has resigned and will be replaced with Ant Anstead, who is best known for his UK series For The Love of Cars.
After 12 seasons, the show was canceled by Velocity channel in the United States. They decided to replace Attaboy TV by Discovery Studios California. The creators and ideologists for the show are Dan Allum and Michael Wood, founders of Attaboy.
China is not leaving because he is bored of fixing classic cars but because Wheeler dealers found it “too difficult to create, at least in its current form.” This is what Velocity felt should be decreased.
China says that the workshop jobs are the most difficult part of the show. Reducing their content and their role in the show’s success will help the production save considerable time, effort, and money. “However, I don’t like this new direction as I feel that the corners I was asked to cut compromise the quality of my work as well as the integrity of the show. So I have decided that Velocity will continue to do the job without me.
China will continue to work on other projects, and we may soon start seeing them on his YouTube channel. We’re excited to see his thoughts as he expands his “world in different directions”. New episodes will be added to the show with Ant Anstead acting as a mechanic.
