It sounds terrible.
Many cars attempt to blur the lines between race car and road car. Road cars are far more powerful than race cars when it comes to horsepower. Automakers often remove creature comforts and add parts from a racing car to give it a cool name. It’s not a racecar, however. But there is one vehicle that blurs the line. It actually destroys it. It is the only Ferrari 458 Challenge that is road legal.
The Ferrari 458 Challenge isn’t an extreme version your regular 458. Side mirrors were added by the owner to blend it in, but the odd side windows reveal the car’s true track origins. The wing at the back of the car looks more like a race car than a road car. It looks just like an everyday 458 without a race livery. It’s not. The owner somehow managed to make it legal to drive on public roads. The car is seen driving along roads close to the Nurburgring.
However, that’s not all that the owner has changed. The standard Ferrari 458 Challenge’s V8 of 4.5-liters produces 569 horsepower (425 Kilowatts) as well as 389 pound-feet (509 Newton-Meters) torque. This is not your average 458. This one was upgraded to produce around 700 horsepower (521 kW). It sounds just like it. The owner didn’t feel it had enough power, despite the fact that it was a race car.
What makes a racecar a racecar? What is the difference between horsepower, torque, tires, and brakes? It could be the experience, a stripped-down interior and roll cage with fire suppression system. Road cars can be powerful and more efficient than race cars. You should remember that a race car must adhere to certain race rules and sometimes things have to be fair. Maybe a Ferrari racing car is possible and legal to drive on the roads.
