Welcome back to 1993.
Nostalgia can be a powerful emotion. It’s a powerful thing to bring back fond memories by bringing up a name from your past. It’s also a powerful marketing tool, as nostalgia can be used to bring back fond memories. Look at cars that were resurrected from the past to see how potential customers interact with them Ford is not unfamiliar with the nostalgia theme. Ford was among the first automakers that adopted the idea of nostalgia. retro-futurism
However, it has had mixed success. Ford has recently brought back something from 1990s, but it is a trim level and not a model. It launched the Ranger Splash Limited Edition and Ranger Splash Limited Edition lines in September 2021. This trim level was revived from the ’90s.
We all know what the Splash standard looks like, with its bright orange paint job and retro graphics. Ford promised that the Limited Edition colors would be available in the future, but we have not seen them yet. Limited-run colors include the Snow Edition and Forest Edition.
Next up is the Forest Edition, which will be available in Summer 2022. Forest Edition has Forged Green paint on its body and grey trims on the grille. This model replaces leather seats with Ash Grey cloth trim. This model can only be produced in 500 units.
Ford will release the final model, the Sand Edition, by Fall 2022. The Forest Edition’s interior colors and trims will be the same. Ford calls the exterior color Desert Sand, and it is only available on this model. Only 500 units are available for the Sand Edition. Splash Limited Edition models are $1,495 more than the standard models.
These models are a sort of sendoff for the current generation. The Ford Ranger, the all-new Ford Ranger, was unveiled last November. Full-scale production will begin in the second quarter 2022.
