It’s a list that includes the most popular used cars on sale in America. This new study by and iSeeCars shows that Sedans and Hatchback dominate the market. It’s quite telling.
These vehicles sell 1.3x faster than the average of 68.9 days on dealer lots, according to iSeeCars. The time it takes to sell all the vehicles except one is pretty close. And, because we couldn’t resist the pun, this list might shock your. These are the rankings, ranked from worst to most.
10. Tesla Model S
This won’t be all Tesla. Tesla is the dominant automaker, and this list starts with the Model S. A used example is usually gone within 50.7 days after it reaches the marketplace.
9. Toyota Corolla Hatchback
The Corolla is a smart and reliable car. You can often find good deals on the used market. The average sale time is 50.2 days, which is almost identical to that of the Model S.
8. Honda Accord
The Accord proves that sedans aren’t dead in America. It’s one of the top ten most-sold cars in 2019, with a 50-day average lot. This is almost as good as the Corolla.
7. Infiniti Q60
The luxurious Infiniti has stunning looks and outstanding performance. This combination is combined with a low resale price makes it a car that moves quickly from dealer lots. The average sale time of a HTML60 is 49.4 Days.
6. Tesla Model X
The Model X is expensive, starting at $80,000. The seven-seat EV crossover isn’t often on the used market and it usually sells in 47.6 days.
5. Honda Civic
The Civic is a very popular car, new or used. Although there are many options, most Civics sell within 47.4 days.
4. Toyota Yaris
The Yaris, similar to the Corolla is affordable and has a reputation of reliability and practicality. It takes 44.8 days for used models to be sold.
3. Subaru BRZ
Here’s an exception. While the BRZ is a unique vehicle that appeals to enthusiasts it also means that you won’t find many on the used market. They spend 44.5 days on dealer lot before they find new owners.
2. BMW X6
This is the only crossover SUV that can be considered a traditional. Although it has a coupe-like styling, it is more stylish than standard SUVs. However, its soaring resale price is comparable to the Infiniti. These models could easily sell for half of their original MSRP within a few years. This is why the X6 sells in 43 days.
1. Tesla Model 3
The list includes Tesla, which is the only automaker that has made it three times. The Model 3 is also much more popular in the used market than all other cars. It sells in 29.3 Days, which is faster than the BMW’s average time for used cars. It helps if the car is as stylish as the Model 3.
