It’s fun to take on a project and work on it until you feel satisfied. This 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi is a great choice if you are looking for that special Ferrari 308 GTSi. It needs a new home, and lots of restoration. RM Sotheby’s will offer the car for sale without reserve at their Paris sale. The price range is $55,000 to $80,000.

This Ferrari’s provenance might appeal to those who are passionate about rare cars. It was Part of the Baillon Collection, which was discovered in France in 2014. Transport magnate, Artcurial, accumulated a treasure trove of about 100 vehicles and stored them away. Artcurial sold 60 of the vehicles it considered salvageable. This Ferrari was one of them.

The new owner purchased this 308 GTSi in 2015. He decided not to immediately restore it. To preserve the vehicle’s condition, and to prevent further decay, he placed it in a ventilated bubble.

GTSi is the GT designation for this 308 which has a fuel-injected engine as well as removable roof panels. There is a replacement powerplant listed in the auction listing. RM Sotheby’s believes that it’s a 3.2-liter Quattrovalvole engine V8 instead of the original 2.9 liter V8.

This car was originally delivered by Ferrari to a Belgian buyer. It was finished in Rosso Chiaro red and had beige leather upholstery.

The car is now almost gone. There is newspaper everywhere on the interior and body. Many parts are missing, including the vents above the headlights and all the taillights as well as the passenger side. The interior is also filled with exposed wiring.
