This 1999 Winnebago Realta has less than 3,000 miles and is up for auction

It’s a time capsule from the ’90s and it shows.

In October 1999, right at the time people were panicking over the Y2K virus, someone purchased a Volkswagen Eurovan. The vehicle was then converted into a Winnebago Rialta motorhome specification. The vehicle was purchased by Macdonald’s RV Center in Plainville, Massachusetts. However, it appears that the buyer kept the vehicle until after purchase.

The dealer purchased the vehicle after 21 years and placed it up for sale. What is the mileage? This car is nearly new at 2,600 miles.

This RV for Sale is even more amazing. The purple trim and Rialta decals are screaming ’90s so you’re basically looking at a time capsule of the Jordan era. Though those purple accents were more a Utah Jazz thing. But I digress.

The cabin is still true to its ’90s style, with Cyber-patterned seats that slide/swivel up front, a cassette stereo and rubber floor mats. It has cruise control for your driving convenience. The rest of the living area features a kitchenette and a dining area with identically-patterned seats that can be converted to a bed. There’s also a bathroom with a toilet, handheld sprayer, and a shower-head sprayer.

This ’90s time capsule has a narrow-angle, 2.8-liter V6 which is mated with a four-speed auto transmission. According to the dealer, the Winnebago Rialta was not running smoothly after several years of storage. This was before injector cleaner and fresh fuel were added. The dealer also noticed corrosion on the exhaust system, and leaf springs. However, the Carfax report does not show any damage or accident since 1999.

There are still a few days to go before the hammer drops on this 1999 Winnebago Rialta 22HD. The current bid is $22,000 at this writing.
