Bring a Trailer has an interesting car for sale. It’s a hand-built roadster that the seller designed and built for him over four years. The car was completed in 2006.
The 2006 Hammond Roadster is a silver-colored molded fiberglass body, with a removable soft-top and tonneau covers. The entire body was constructed over two years. It is mounted on a custom painted steel tube space frame with rear and front clamshells. It is supported by coilover suspensions, 17-inch wheels with traction control and ABS. There are some paint chips.
The Hammond Roadster is more than just a polarizing exterior. It was constructed using parts from a 2002 Chrysler 300M damaged, including the 3.5-liter, V6. Although no output numbers have been released, the EGG engine of the 300M is rated to produce 255 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.
The interior of the Hammond Roadster features black sport seats with red inserts, and Corbeau racing harnesses. Although grey carpeting can be seen in the room, we are not happy with the lack of legroom for the passenger side. We can see this from the photos. The steering wheel is a little too big for the layout considering it was also inherited from the 300M. Roll hoops and roll bars are also included in the car for safety.
You should decide quickly if you like the images you see here. The bidding ends in just two days. Register at Bring a Trailer to be eligible to bid on this unique roadster.
