It will be auctioned for up to PS36,000 (or 44,474).

Just over $36,000 will get you a brand new Ford Focus RS. This 2009 Ford Focus RS is a rare find. It will be auctioned next month at the Classic Car Auctions Birmingham.

This Focus is “brand new” and has only 45 miles (72 km) on its original odometer. The car has spent seven years in storage and is now owned by a husband-and-wife duo. The car has only had one service in that time. It was last serviced in October 2016.

Under the hood, the turbocharged five-cylinder engine still produces 300 horsepower (223 Kilowatts) as well as 324 pound feet (439 Newton-meters). The six-speed manual transmission transfers all that power to the front wheels. This Focus RS can sprint from a standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.9 seconds.

According to the auction house, the car could sell for between PS32,000 and PS36,000 ($39.532 to $44,474). A Ultimate Green car with 1,800 miles (2.896 km) was sold at Silverstone in February for a staggering PS41,063 (50,744). Guy Lees-Milne, CCA General Manager, stated that the new Focus RS was launched to great fanfare. We expect similar interest in this amazingly low mileage example.

This is not the only Ford fast car that will be auctioned in April. The Focus RS will also be available alongside a low-mileage 1992 Sierra Sapphire 4-x4 Cosworth and a concours condition 1983 Escort 600i. Beginning April 1, 2017, the auction will be held in Birmingham, U.K.
