These prototypes could be produced cars in a perfect world.
In the summer 2014, Driver reported Alfa Romeo might launch an quadrifoglio hardcore 4C sports car. Harald Wester was the research and development boss of FCA at the time. He stated that the car has “only at 136 horsepower/liter, so there are spaces.” But, as is typical with FCA, nothing official followed.
Now, the Italian-American company has a huge collection of concept and vintage production cars from all its brands. The video below is a 20-minute overview of some cars from that collection. It’s quite the surprise. As discovered by Jalopnik The Heritage HUB features not just one, but two. Prototypes of the Alfa Romeo 4C QV are available .
Be sure to watch the video at 10 minutes. That’s the time when the cars first appear. One of the cars is red, while the other one is white. Both have very aggressive exterior upgrades over regular models. They include a carbon-fiber splitter for front bumper, a new diffuser at the rear and a huge adjustable wing at back.
An inspection of the front fenders and hood will reveal additional air openings. You can also see the four-leaf clover badges located above the front wheel arches. These are clear indicators that these are 4C Quadrifoglio models. Although we don’t know the exact engine, it is safe to assume that the cars have an upgraded 1.75-liter four cylinder engine with more horsepower than the stock 237 horsepower (177kilowatts).

We don’t know why these cars didn’t make it to the production lines. We don’t have an adequate answer, frankly. Although it’s likely too late, we have our fingers crossed that this is not a closed FCA project. If you have any questions about the prototypes, please let us know by commenting below.
