It’s also appropriately named “Brown Sugar”.

The 1983 Chevrolet RV camper was probably the most impressive build we saw at the 2019 SEMA. It’s the perfect throwback to the 1980s, and it’s constructed exactly as it should look if it was a motorhome.

It was a delicious build, and you’d be pleased to know that the exact same example is available for purchase at Grand Rapids Classics. Before we get to the details, let’s take a look at the updated images that were created for the listing.

It’s delicious, we said. We can’t think of a better name for the build than “Brown Sugar”, with its color theme and graphic that are as sweet and brown as your favorite chocolate candy.

This retro-licious camper is built from a 1983 Chevy C class motorhome. River City Rods in Davenport, Iowa, made this happen by taking out the old camper and replacing it with a long pickup bed. Then, a large camper was added to it. Under the hood is a GM LS V-8 5.3 liter iron-block engine. It sends power to all four wheels via a 4L80E automated transmission.

This motorhome also features a full air suspension system that allows the front cross member to touch the ground if necessary.

Retro styling continues inside, with plaid printed seats and a rustic feel on the camper. Oh, and there’s also a Coca-Cola Sink, just in case.

This unique, custom-made camper is not cheap. Although it’s listed at $179990, this motorhome looks amazing and is well worth the price.
