Naja, his father’s son, took the 964-Series Carrera from his father and rebuilt it to its former glory.
Say hello to Naja. We don’t care who he is or where he comes from. Because his simple story transcends all such matters, we say this. It even transcends automotive passion. However, Motor1.com is a website that focuses exclusively on cars. This will be discussed more at the end.
Right now, let’s talk about Naja’s Porsche 911 Carrera. It is a 964-series car. More than 60,000 were produced between 1989 and 1994. Although this generation has been quite expensive over the years there aren’t many 964s anywhere else in the world that have the same value as Naja’s. It was his last car before his death.
Naja grew up with a passion for cars. When Naja was a child, his father bought him a Porsche-bodied gokart. According to Naja’s touching video, the man was an avid collector and liked to play with things. Naja was proud that he was a car man.
The family sold most of the possessions of his father when he died. Naja received the maroon Porsche 911 convertible. The car had suffered from years in the sun and the elements, but Naja kept it and restored it. The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt and the car was given a new coat of paint. It looks perfect, down to the interior trim, as you can see from the video. We don’t know whether the Porsche interior was redone. If so, Naja’s father took excellent care of the car. He was also a car guy.
Naja claims that the car would be different if it weren’t inherited. It’s more than a car. It’s his dad’s car. Anybody who has ever been given a family heirloom, be it a car or cherished jewelry or a set of dishes, will understand how Naja feels every single time he takes the Porsche out for a spin.
We are grateful to Naja and Porsche, for sharing their amazing story and reminding us of the most important thing in life: Family.
