We love it.
This was an unusual model in Infiniti’s lineup. It was based upon the Nissan 370Z platform and did not have a Nissan-branded counterpart. It was launched almost 20 years ago and was resurrected last November with the QX55 . The QX55 is actually a class above the FX in terms its dimensions, technologies and powertrains. This means that Infiniti has no direct successor to the FX. Our Russian friends at Kolesa.ru We have now taken the necessary steps to correct this error. Meet the Infiniti FX, ladies and gentlemen.
It exists only in the virtual world, but we are happy with what we see. This rendering blends the distinctive QX55 front-end design with the sleek overall profile of FX. It is also slightly larger than the QX55 which corresponds to the original SUV’s midsize position.
V6 and V8 engines were used in the original FX. They were replaced by larger units for the second-generation, which was also known as QX70. The 2013 facelift brought about a change of name to QX70. The QX55 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 268 horsepower (200 Kilowatts) as well as 280 pound-feet (338 Newton-meters).
This modern FX successor needs a bigger engine. Let’s speculate for a moment. Infiniti has its 3.0-liter VR30DDTT engine , which is derived from the Q60 Red Sport. It seems like a great choice. It will be slightly more powerful than the BMW X5 40i (475 Nm) and the BMW X5 40i (400 hp).
