It is very well made.
The Lotus lineup is getting a new model, the Emira. The model was announced by , a Norfolk-based brand, in Januar before the teaser campaign began in April. The latest teaser video, posted to Facebook by Motor1.com, shows us the car’s sleek exterior styling.
The teaser shows the front half of Lotus cars in profile view. Light reflects along the curvy front-fender Lotus cars are well-known for, as well as the door. A few styling elements are also visible, such as the unique arched fender that appears to create a unique groove in the door. This could just be light tricks. A sharp crease in front of the door is also noticeable. It sits just below a curvy line towards the raer bumper. This teaser showcases the dual headlight design that was shown in a previously unrevealing teaser.
The Emira was originally codenamed “Type 131” and will serve as a sendoff for the automaker. This model is the last gas-powered offering. As the company moves towards electrification, the Emira will be the last ICE model. The final powertrain is still unknown. Lotus previously used Toyota’s V6 engine of 3.5-liters, which is believed to still be in the Emira. However, speculation suggests that a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder from another partner could also power this model.
Lotus will tell us all we need to know in no time. The Lotus Emira will make its debut in Hethel (Norfolk) on July 6. The Lotus Emira will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which starts on July 8. Lotus is well-known for its lightweight, modestly powered sports cars. But it will soon have to navigate all the complexities of an electric future .
