Someone was supposed to yield, but didn’t.
Highways are supposed to be efficient motorways that can move large numbers of vehicles while minimizing the chance for accidents. These high-speed pavements aren’t immune to the arrogance and incompetence of human drivers. This is what happened at a Georgia highway exit. Three cars tried to exit the highway simultaneously. They didn’t succeed.
Sandy Springs Police, Sandy Springs, Georgia has taken photos of the accident. Three cars tried to escape simultaneously but got stuck between the yellow crash divider and the concrete barrier. The crash remains under investigation by police. There were no injuries, which is a good thing. However, it is unclear from the photos who might be responsible. A GMC Savana Is squished between the latest-generation Ford Mustang And a GMC Acadia With the Mustang’s front passenger tire positioned up on the barrier.
Although we can see some damage, it seems like the Mustang took the majority of it. Photos show that the Mustang’s hood is cracked at the leading edge. This likely means there has been some damage to its front fender. GMC Savanna has extensive damage to its front fender. The sheet metal has been removed and the turn signal lights are damaged. The Acadia is in good condition, but we expect it to have some scratches and denting.
In these situations, defensive driving is crucial as other drivers may not be as attentive as they should. These photos serve as reminders to be vigilant on the highway. You never know when you might find yourself in a jam with three cars. It can ruin your day and many other people’s.
