Tiny Home Maker builds its first camper van, and it's impressive

The bathroom has a standing shower and a large kitchen

A camper van is, in essence, a tiny home. A company that builds tiny homes makes perfect sense to convert a van. Molecule Tiny Homes offers van conversions starting from $25,000.

This 2019 extended-length, high-roof photo shows the company’s expertise in small living.Ford Transit. Although it looks unassuming from the exterior, the interior is filled with wood trim – a characteristic of tiny home construction. The cockpit is separated from the rest of van by a small, transparent door.
All the comforts of home. The living area features a Murphy bed that folds up, and the kitchen holding station is in the middle. A small, standing-up shower is located at the rear of the van. It has a slide-out composting toilet and storage space.

We are unable to provide details about power and water storage, but Molecule Tiny Homes may be able to build vans according to customer needs. We can see a refrigerator in the kitchen and a variety of 110-volt power outlets. It appears that the folding platform can also be used as a table or a dining table. Although a small wood-burning fireplace can be used for heat, the company claims that gas heating is also available. A variety of pump and water tank systems are also available.

This camper is a unique take on full-service camping and a first-effort by this company. This upfit feels more like a home than a van. With conversion costs starting at $25,000 (not including vehicle), it could be an option for those looking for something new for long on-road adventures.
