Tokyo Auto Salon Gets Taft Concept and Custom Vehicles From Daihatsu

Daihatsu The automaker specializes in small cars, especially for the Japanese market. It has a wide range of special machines that it will display at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 In January. The company has modified examples of the Copen and Hijet, Rocky, Tanto, and the Taft concept.

After being scanned by a shrinkray, the Taft is a bit like a Hummer H2 but with a different look. Daihatsu calls it a “partner who is able to be active in many fields, from daily life to leisure.” It was small and compact, with room for four. The 660cc engine is powerful, which suggests that it could be produced and meet Japan’s car classification.

Daihatsu has also brought a modified Copen to the show. The front fascia of the red roadster has been redesigned with wider openings and a carbon-fiber hood. There is also a spoiler on its rear deck. The black wheels are equipped with polished metal rims. Some minor tweaks are made to the Rocky. The Rocky now sports a modified body kit with black stripes and orange skin.

There are also a pair of custom Daihatsu Tantos. Tanto Cross Field Version has a beige-orange exterior. The roof rack can be used to store outdoor gear.

The Tanto Premium version, on the other hand, is all about style and features a large grille with blue accents. To add an accent to the silver body, the roof and A-pillars are black.

Three Hijet versions are also available from the company for the Tokyo Auto Salon. The Peaks Version can be used off-road, while the sides of the body have climbing grips in case you don’t know where to go.

The DJ Version features a colorful body. The DJ Version also features a large sound system in the rear and a large screen to entertain crowds. Daihatsu and Hatsune Miku team up to create a tiny van with a popup shop inside.
