Toyota and Subaru reveal new model details for April 5

Well, well, well. What are we left with?

It is not secret that Toyota, Subaru have been working together on many different projects. We have the first teaser image of the new vehicle that will be revealed by the Japanese companies on April 5.

Although the details are scarce, there are hints that the debut could be imminent. Subaru and Toyota will host an online event called “Let’s make ever better cars together”, during which top-ranking executives from both companies will share more information about their alliance’s history as well as its future.

Koji Sato (President of Gazoo Racing), will be speaking alongside Tetsuro Fujinuki (Chief Technical Officer at Subaru). The third section of the online event will feature a vehicle debut. We can only think of two options.

We believe that we may see the next-generation Toyota 86 sportscar , despite recent rumors. The teaser image shows a line that appears to be similar to the Subaru logo. Even the paint color of the sports car matches that in the official press photos. However, the bottom half of the BRZ doesn’t match.

An all-new electric crossover is another option. However, it seems less likely. Toyota teased last week that the new EV SUV would be making its debut at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show. We also know that Subaru will receive a version. We believe that a new sports car is more likely, given the #TOYOTAGAZOORacing hashtags utilized by Subaru and Toyota for social media posts.

In less than two weeks we will have all the information ( hopefully ) about the new Toyota-Subaru model. So stay tuned.
